I have decided that I am not going to buy any more junk in my life. I have grown tired our everything built to be disposable and so when something breaks, I take my time to research for something that will last, hopefully the rest of my lifetime.

So when my bathroom scale broke, I did a lot of research and ended up with this scale. Out of the box I was impressed. It is very solidly built and I knew I had made the right choice. I put in the batteries, set the scale to lbs and stepped on it. The bottom line of the LCD screen did not work. Functionally everything else worked and it seemed to repeatably display my weight but missing one out of the five lines to display my weight was not something I wanted to live with after paying a premium price. So I went through Amazon's return screens and about a week later, a new scale was waiting outside my door. I repeated the process of putting in the batteries and setting it to lbs and this time I got all the lines of text however the screen won't display the weight, only the word 'SToP'. It does this in all three modes. I'm not sure what it means and the directions have only pictures and doesn't say anything about what it so I assume it means it doesn't work. Two scales in a row seems a bit much so I am returning it, this time for a refund, and will be searching for another brand of scale.
