These footed stands are beautiful and will be used for the wedding cake and punch bowls at my nieces wedding. They are just heavy enough to be sturdy without being overly heavy. After the wedding, they will be pretty for Christmas buffet or even on the hall table with a pretty vase of flowers. Very happy.

I bought this board with the idea that it was a genuine OEM board since the description did not mention "ICM" and the number matched that of a true Carrier Bryant replacement kit (as far as I understood). I just got the board and found that it is an ICM board (i.e. a lower-cost replacement board that isn't exactly like the original board that comes with the unit).

It came well packaged and has a fairly detailed wiring instructions and the wiring harness. So we will go ahead and see how it works and how easy it is to install. I will write back with an update.

UPDATE: In my absence, my brother was able to install this board with very little difficulty (thanks, bro). The one problem he experienced was that the receiver for the humidifier connector does not match the receiver that was on the original board so we'll have to splice on the correct connector for that. Other than that, the wiring harness and all connectors and the instructions and diagrams provided made the installation of it fairly routine for someone with a fair amount of experience with electronics. When he went through the self-check (per the instructions), the board performed flawlessly.

So I'll upgrade my rating from 2 to 4 stars. It appears to be a quality product (so far), even though the product comments are a bit lacking in detail.

Overall, we like our Backmaxes and there doesn't seem to be much out there like it. However, be prepared for the fact that you'll probably still need some extra pillows to really customize it and you may really feel the absence of arm supports. I'd suggest to the company that they'd have a much better product if they included a little flip-pillow for the full-recline positions and some arm supports.

Peerless LCD Pedestal Stand for 10 to 30 inch Flat Panel Screens Review

I bought this stand for my home gym. It was the only one I could find at
a decent price that was also tall enough to be seen over my elliptical
trainer. It is a very solidly made stand, but not very well designed.

1st drawback: Nearly the entire thing is put together with tiny set
screws (a dozen in all) that you must tighten with a tiny allen wrench.
This makes height adjustments quite a pain. Peerless really should have
at least put a thumb screw at the height adjustment pipe. To workaround
this, I found an adjustable hose clamp with a built in plastic
thumbscrew at the 99cent store, and it works great.

2nd drawback: There is no up/down angle adjustment where the tv is
mounted, so it must always stay basically flat perpendicular to the
floor. Adding this feature would probably have added somewhat to the
price, but I would have gladly paid for it.

Other than these two issues, this is a solid and pretty nice-looking
stand which can also hide your cables pretty well.
