Product Description
The Amprobe IR-730 infrared thermometer is designed to measure temperature in a variety of HVAC, electrical, automotive, industrial maintenance, quality control, and fire prevention applications. The meter has a 30:1 distance-to-spot (D:S) ratio, and a minimum spot size of 24mm. Emissivity is digitally adjustable from 0.10 to 1.00, in increments of 0.01, for testing a variety of materials. A single laser pointer helps ensure more accurate targeting. The backlit LCD display has an eight-second hold for reading temperature, and a low battery indicator to help prevent false readings. The meter also displays maximum, minimum, average, and difference temperature. A tripod mount stabilizes the meter for reading that require extended time.
Dual-scale temperature readings range from -26 to 2,282 degrees F (-32 to 1,250 degrees C), with a resolution of 0.1 degrees F (0.1 degrees C). The device operates on one 9V alkaline battery, which provides approximately 10 hours of use with the laser and backlight on, or 30 hours of use with the laser and backlight off.
