I use it during homebrewing. Provides consistent, accurate results when following the directions. Key details:
1) Make sure the sample put on is representative (that the dropper has just the sample, not water or something else)
2) clean where the sample goes on the refractometer between uses
3) give the sample and sesor a moment (about 1 minute) to come to a consistent temperature on the sensor (otherwise you will get a low reading as the sensor and sample come into temperature equilibrium).
