I'M A BIG GUY,,, 350#, so I knew I needed something extra to bear my weight (and any other person that might sleep with me) in my new wood frame bed, so I kept looking for something to support the mattress and box spring set, in addition to what the bed manufacturer sent me. I thought about cinder blocks, but really didn't want the hassle of going to the lumber yard to get them, then have to shint them in place, etc. I found these rail supports on Amazon and have to say they work like a dream. They're not that hard to slip together and the process is self-intuitive. Luckily, they even work with the metal supports that came with my wood frame bed, so I have a really sturdy, double strong bed to sleep on by myself or with someone else. (I bought a nice Cherry frame bed, with Sterns & Foster mattress, and consider this bed an investment.) I think the rails are well worth the price, and if I ever move it, will be able to easily re-assemble the bed in another place. I highly recommend this device if you need extra support for your bed. And especially if you're a BIG person like me and want to protect the investment in your nice bed and mattress.
