I had recently bought two memory foam mattresses which did not require a box spring and would be too low on a regular frame. I ordered one frame to try out and when I received it I thought I would have to send it back as it looked pretty flimsy. However, once it was put together and the two halves connected, it was a firm foundation for the mattress. It came with its own bed skirt and was easy to put together. A big plus is the 14" clearance I now have between the frame and the floor. Much easier to use as storage now.

After assembly, I went back to Amazon to order the second frame.
