a little back story on this product...my wife is a virtual Martha Stewart and loves the Giada cooking show which is where she first saw this product and has wanted it ever since...she had talked about it over and over and I always make mental notes of cool gifts that I know she would want so a few years ago I did some research online and found that it was dist. by a company named Chilewich...I called the company to order and the rep said they no longer made it but would be offering it again soon, that was over two years ago, so I calendared this in Outlook to remind me monthly to call and check status...time and again for years I would call but still no "ray-tray" until recently when they had it again and I found it on here...the product is hard for me to rate because of how much my wife loves it...to me it is way too expensive and the frame and lower support is a bit flimsy however there is nothing like it on the market (trust me here as I looked everywhere for something close)...it is truly aesthetically pleasing while most products are very old/traditional/classic looking this really has a great modern look and at our recent new year's party people were commenting on it...for a Christmas gift I don't mind the expense but it just seems high...one other thing to note that almost ruined a surprise I worked on for years is that if you are buying this for a gift the company ships it in a box which has a couple of stickers of the darn product all over the box...I am very lucky I got it in my hand before the wife did...hope this all helps
