The kids just keep getting bigger, and my guy really needed something new. But I didn't want to get him anything expensive, because he's a young boy and prone to breaking things. Better to not tempt him. This headboard was SO easy to put together. I had him help (great bonding!) and it went super fast. Love the magazine holders on the front (they also fit slim paperbacks) and the cord slot in the back of the main compartment.
