I have a sort of Moroccan themed bedroom, but it's not very bright and I usually go with darker, jewel tones. I really wanted to brighten my room...and this was perfect. It's actually not as cream colored as it appears in the picture...more of a light off-white. The colors are brighter, too...but still muted. I chose curtains and accessories for my room that pull from the colors in the quilt and man...what a difference. I didn't think my room would really brighten up this much! It's a very light quilt...so it's great for summer...or even those nights when you don't need to have the ac on...but still maybe a little cool. It is a bit too small for my queen size mattress, but I do have a really thick mattress...so if you don't have a super thick mattress, it might work fine. I do kind of wish I'd ordered a king size quilt...as it is, only one side of my bed is visible really, so I just pull it over and it's pretty short on the side you can't see.
