I remember all the news coverage about tip hazards around children with TVs. If you have small children in the house, this is NOT the stand for you. Yes, it does its job. It is small as pictured and is easy to put it into a corner. However, it just does not seem to have forgiveness if you push on it. Carpetted floors I think will increase this possibility. With the LCD TV I'm putting on it, it will be fine. I do not have small ones in my house. I'd hate to have to think about it if I did. I'm not picking on this product, I'm just passing along a viewpoint to people who have kids in the house.
